Trip Home
“Shadow Demon made a wise decision last week. He knew that there was no way he would win against someone like me. And now the Rated R Championship is around the waist of someone who deserves it. But it’s not enough for me, cause now I team with a man who just as much deserves to be a champion as yours truly and we go up against four other tag teams, one of which includes my brother, and the winner becomes the undisputed tag team champions. Now I know what it’s like to be a tag team champion, I’ve held those titles twice before, in fact I held both belts by myself. And I was never defeated in a tag team match for those belts. So, as far as I see it, this is my chance to retrieve something I never lost in the first place.”
I was walking to my car after I was crowned the Rated R Champion, Jessica is right next to me carrying the title on her shoulder. I reach my car and gets in as Jessica gets in the other side.
Ryan Apollos: Well that was fun.
Jessica: It was a little bit too much fun.
Ryan Apollos: Eh, anytime you don’t have to lift a finger to win a title is fun. But part of me wished Shadow Demon would have just shown up and actually took the beating I had prepared for him, it was boring to just stand there and do nothing, but fun nonetheless.
Jessica: Ryan you do know that teaming with Steven next week in that Tag Titles match could get you more gold to take back home with you.
Ryan Apollos: You know I’m ready for that. Though I have to admit, I’m going to keep at least one eye on Steven for the entire match. He did say earlier tonight that he wants my title, so there’s no telling when he’ll turn his attention towards me.
Jessica: You do have a problem with tag team partners turning on you at the drop of a dime, don’t you.
Ryan Apollos: Yeah, both Killer B and Corey Casey have done that, twice. I won’t be that surprised if Steven stabs me in the back. But he’s too good to just pass this kind of opportunity up just to take me out.
Jessica: I figured you’d be more worried about Steven then everyone else.
Ryan Apollos: Well it’s not even close. The one I’m in the unknown about is Jason. I don’t get his deal, first we’re at each others throats and I help in kidnapping Henry and then we find out we’re brothers and all of a sudden it seems like he’s forgiven me. I’m not sure what’s going on in his brain.
Jessica: I’m wondering that myself. When you told me, I was thinking he wouldn’t accept you as his brother cause of what you did and the fact that you and him don’t exactly get along doesn’t make it any more believable.
Ryan Apollos: Well I’m sure we could probably get some answers next week. He’s probably too busy with his own match to get anything from that guy right now.
Jessica: That or getting some action from that bitch of a girlfriend of his.
Ryan Apollos: Who really cares what he does with her. I sure as hell don’t care at all.
I drive out of the driveway and begin to head home as the screen fades.
(A few days later)
I arrive at my new house just outside of Atlanta during the early morning on Wednesday. Jessica had fallen asleep and I decided to just let her finish sleeping while I took the luggage into the house. I sat down on the couch and watched some TV while I waited for her to come in. After an hour passed she finally came in and sat down on the couch next to me.
Jessica: How long ago did we get back here?
Ryan Apollos: About an hour or two ago.
Jessica: Why didn’t you wake me up?
Ryan Apollos: I didn’t want to wake you up, I let you sleep a little longer.
Jessica: I don’t think that was a bright idea. A car seat is just not comfortable for me to sleep in.
Ryan Apollos: Sorry if it wasn’t comfortable for you. Though I have no control over how comfortable a car seat’s going to be. You’ll just have to deal with it like I do.
Jessica: I know that. You know I haven’t exactly seen all of your house yet. I’ve only seen your living room, your kitchen, and more importantly, your bedroom.
Ryan Apollos: Okay then I’ll show you the rest of my house. Let’s just go upstairs and take a quick nap, okay?
Jessica: Okay then.
I head upstairs, closely followed by Jessica, and headed into the room so I could take a nap as I had been awake since the day before driving home.
-The Match-
The Undisputed Tag Team Championships. That is what’s on the line when me and Steven Angel team up to take on Jason and Nick and three other teams who think they can win.
First there’s TJ Tilli and Leon Lonewolf. My opponent for my Rated R Championship and the man who’s made it clear he wants to “attempt” to take me out, along with Steven and Corey Casey, all because we kicked him out Rated Most Hated. Those two would probably benefit from taking me out, but it won’t happen cause quite frankly they both don’t stand a chance against me.
Then we have the Indigenous Killers, the two morons who think they’re building up a corpse count. But what they’re really doing is cleaning the NLWF of the trash that doesn’t deserve to be here. Other than that, they’re just punching bags for everyone else.
Next is the unlikely alliance of Dean Diamond and Ethan Preston. These two guys obviously have too much going on in their lives for me to even care about worrying what these two can do. They seem to want Allison’s attention more than a championship that’s on the line.
Finally we have the tag team champions, Nick Ridicule and Jason Hawk. These two guys have been on the opposite sides of a coin in the past couple of weeks. Nick lost the NLWF title in his hometown and then lost last week to Chuck and Corey. While Jason has won the World Heavyweight Championship that just a few weeks earlier he came so close only to fail. Sure Jason’s my brother but that’s not going to change anything, cause I didn’t give a rat’s ass about him before and I still don’t since he has something I want and that’s a championship.
It doesn’t matter who I have to go through, I want to add that championship to my Rated R Championship which I already have. Every single opponent in that match is going to get outshined by “The Slayer.”
Screen fades to black.
