Paying a visit to SCWF

-11:05 AM, The City of Salvation, Rob and Tara’s house-

Rob and Tara got out of the taxi, stepping out onto the front lawn of their Salvation house. Tara’s stay in the hospital had been very short, overall. She’d only needed to stay in the hospital for one more day after she woke up, just so they could run some last tests just to check everything was ok. The doctors had spoken to Rob, and told him that it was a miracle that she had survived. She had seemed like a goner, they had said. Rob was just happy she was alive, and had recovered to turn out fine. Rob opened the door and they walked inside. He was glad to be back home, he wouldn’t admit it but the trip around to Salt Lake City had really worn him out. He and Tara walked into the lounge room, and Tara sat down. Rob sat down next to her and they just began flicking through channels. After a while Tara spoke up.

Tara Langdon
So, are we going to take a break from all this converting?

Rob Langdon
Definitely, you get too much heat on your trail after a while; it’s just not worth it.

Tara Langdon
I think you’re right. So what are you going to do today?

Rob Langdon
Well, I’ve been thinking about visiting SCWF, I haven’t been backstage there yet, and well, babe, KID’s running the show!

Tara Langdon
Sure, but you don’t mind if I stay home do you? I think I could use a good sleep.

Rob Langdon
No problem, make sure you get as much rest as you want.

Rob kissed her, and then jumped off the couch.

Rob Langdon
See ya!

Tara Langdon
Bye!

Rob walked out to the front yard, and opened the car. He stepped into the driver’s seat, turned on the car, and began to back out of the driveway. As he did, he couldn’t help wondering about his match with Brenton. It’d been on his mind a lot, he really wasn’t sure if he was prepared to face Brenton again, but he was just going to have to try his best. He’d never given up before, so why give up now? He thought, as he swung out of the driveway, and drove off down the street. He was heading for liberation arena. He remembered the last time he had been there, he and Tara had fooled around in there before City of Evil, just for fun. But this time he was going to scope out the talent backstage. He wondered if and matches would be on, but there show, Collision had already been aired, but maybe they were training or something, preparing for the next show.

He turned down a left hand corner, and saw the liberation arena rise up in front of him, it was pretty big, and looked pretty cool, he had to admit. He turned into the car park, and roamed around a little before finding a good park, and turning into it. He turned off the car, stepped out and locked it. He then began to walk through the car park, and into the liberation arena. He walked up to the front door, and opened it, and as he did he saw KID inside. He was talking to another wrestler, who Rob didn’t recognize. The wrestler was about a medium build, and looked tough. He looked up at Rob, and KID followed his gaze over to him.

Rob! What’s up man? Come over here, I want you to meet someone.

Rob walked over, looking from KID to the wrestler.

This, is Sean Williams. He’s a member of The Breed, Sean, Rob, Rob, Sean.

Rob extended his hand for a handshake.

Rob Langdon
Hey there, Sean.

Sean shook Rob’s hand.

Come with me Rob, Sean you can go now.

Sean left, and Rob and KID walked down into a different hallway.

Rob Langdon
So, you got a match against Ryan this week? I hope you kill him man.

Damn sure I’m going to, I hate him so much.

Rob Langdon
Me too.

Yeah, anyway...

Just as they walked around another corner, a smaller, lighter wrestler stepped into their way. His eyes were set in a hard glare, and he had a title across his shoulder.

Oh, hey there. This, Rob is the SCWF Hardcore Champion, Karnage.

Rob extended his hand again.

Rob Langdon
How you doing, Karnage?

Karnage didn’t react at all, before speaking just loud enough so that Rob could hear.

Karnage
I don’t shake hands with chokers.

Rob stared at him, angered.

Hey, hey guys let’s not get anything started here.

Rob and Karnage didn’t move, just kept staring at each other.

Rob Langdon
If I’m a choker why don’t you fight me?

Alright, well how about you two settle this inside the ring, tonight. It was only a training show, but a heap of people turned up anyway. So we may as well give em’ a match. Get ready, guys, you’ll be on soon.

Rob Langdon
Hey, what about my makeup?!

Yelled Rob, as KID walked away.

I don’t know, talk to one of the makeup people!

Rob frowned, as Karnage also walked away. Rob didn’t have time to go back and get his wrestling gear, so he just decided that he would put makeup on. Eventually he found where makeup was done, and got one of the artists to do it after showing them a picture of how it normally looked before a match. They were only too happy to do it for him, and it didn’t take very long. As he got out of the makeup room, he heard the announcer announcing their match. He then heard what must’ve been Karnage’s music. He got prepared, as KID walked up behind him, and told him that he was up next. Rob nodded, and waited for his cue. After Karnage’s music stopped, there was a brief silence, before Slipknot’s ‘Gently’ began playing. Rob smiled as he heard the massive ovation.

The arena lights go off as the intro to "Gently" plays. Shadow Demon walks out and pauses. When the intro finishes he raises his hands as pyro's go off on either side of him. He walks slowly down the ramp and climbs in the ring.

And his opponent, from Australia, weighing in at 245 pounds, SHADOWWW DEMONNNN!!!

The crowd erupted; they couldn’t believe that Shadow Demon was actually competing in a match in SCWF. Shadow and Karnage squared off, as the bell rang to start the match. Karnage charged at Shadow, who dropped him with a drop toe hold, and then began blasting him with punches. Shadow picked up Karnage, and whipped him across the ring, into the turnbuckle. Shadow charged at him, but Karnage moved out of the way, but Shadow jumped up onto the turnbuckle, and leaped off with a moonsault, taking him down. The crowd cheered as he did, and as he got up and taunted to the crowd. Karnage slowly climbed to his feet, and they circled each other before locking up in the centre of the ring. Shadow manages to knee Karnage in the stomach and take him into a side headlock. Karnage pushes Shadow into the ropes, and Shadow rebounds off of them.

Karnage attempts a clothesline but Shadow ducks it, and grabs Karnage and drops him with a huge neckbreaker. Shadow climbs to his feet, and stomps Karnage before picking him up. Karnage pokes him in the eye though, and dropkicks him down. Karnage quickly gets up, and as Shadow gets to his feet, he bounces off the ropes, and takes him down with a flying DDT. Karnage covers Shadow.

Shadow kicks out at one. Karnage and Shadow both get to their feet, and Karnage charges at Shadow, but Shadow kicks him in the midsection, and lifts him into a Shadow Crusher! Shadow is about to cover before he looks at the fans, and then points to the turnbuckle. He climbs up the turnbuckle and the crowd goes wild. Shadow then leaps off and nails Karnage with a swanton bomb! He pins Karnage.

The winner of this match, via pinfall, SHADOWWW DEMONNN!!!

Shadow climbs to his feet, and celebrates on the turnbuckle, before having his arm held up by KID. Shadow and KID then headed backstage, leaving Karnage in the middle of the ring. Rob then said goodbye to KID, packed his things, and walked back out to the car park. He then left in his car, driving back to his house. He drove into the driveway, and parked the car. He got out and opened the door to his house, and stepped inside. Tara was laying on the couch, reading a book. She looked up at him.

Tara Langdon
Hi baby! Anything exciting happen?

Rob Langdon
Nah, not really.

I know you have a game plan for this match Cyrus, and so do I. Hell, we’ve faced each other so many times before it would just be stupid not have a game plan, wouldn’t it? Yeah it would, and that’s why I’m not going in unprepared. But of course, not everything can be assumed, I know that you’re a very unpredictable man, Brenton, and I won’t let my guard down for one second against you. I know you’ll be going full throttle to win this match, but I’ve faced people going full throttle before, and won. How about, KID and Aaron at City of Evil? They were desperate to win that match, but I still managed to pull through, and I know I can do it again.

At Legends of The Fall, Cyrus, we settle the score, we end this thing once and for all. I’m going to make sure of that. What did you say Nick, that I have no killer instinct? Well, if that’s what you think, you’re badly mistaken my friend. Because after nearly 11 months of NLWF, nearly 11 months of fighting for my life, I think that I might have some sort of killer instinct. And I’m going to show it this Monday at Legends.
