I know that the world is afraid of me
I'm so
Hidden and you're never gonna see
I'm cold
Forgiven all because of my beliefs
I'm no
Body that you ever wanna be
Cause I know that the world is afraid of me
Cotton the clown walks through deserted streets of New York. The entire world is bathed in twilight
colors. No one is around. Rubble and trash is every where. Any direction you look you can see a burned
out hull of an old car. A skeleton. A fire.
Buildings destroyed. Death. Destruction.
Mayhem
So many questions,
fingers pointing for answers
Suggesting that I'm the cancer that lingers inside the pasture
With green grass, up to my neck in situations
But its too fast To think about it,
most people can't dream about it
He walks alone. He
can speak now. Why? He Does not know. He calls out, “Hello? Is anybody there?” There is, of course, no answer. “Hello, Candy? Old Jeb?”
But they are gone. They can’t
answer him anymore than the shell of this old Buick next to him. “Hello!!!”
Nothing. Beside his
head on the brick wall is a graffito which says, “Step into The SideShow.” Then suddenly he is not alone.
I am my own worst enemy
I'm not the smartest motherfucker and shit,
I don't pretend to be
And why I am the way I am is not a mystery
My mind's not in proper working order or in therapy
Deranged, confused and mentally abused
Life's been hanging on a string so what the fuck I got to loose?
And what the fuck I got to prove to you?
If you don't know me by now, you'll never know me
You can put that on my real homies
A red ball rolls
slowly toward his feet. He picks it up
before it even gets all of the way to him.
Cotton looks up and sees a little girl in a lacy white dress, partially
concealed by shadows. He can see big
curls in her blonde hair. He thinks she
has the darkest eyes he has ever seen.
He takes a step forward.
She steps back and
giggles.
He takes another step
forward.
She backs up again,
giggling.
He holds the ball out
in front of him trying to hand it to her.
“Here, Take it,” he says gently. She
reaches out for it and he can see her hands.
A hundred million miles and every single
second
And every time you hear this record I want you to feel me on every sentence
Reminisce from descendants of past treasures
We'll embark on a journey that'll stay alive forever
Plus I would stand over on my side of the fence
Regardless of the circumstances or the consequences
Her hands are pale,
ashy, purple. She steps out into the
street light. Her eyes ARE extremely
dark. They aren’t really eyes at all. They are deep black holes in her face. She is a walking corpse. A lost soul.
Her small face is painted like a clown.
She opens her mouth
to speak.
I got problems and they stack like bills
And I related to the broken, bleeding heart love killed
And I awaited in the shadows, awake in the dark
Hoping to talk to the passed on, I'm falling apart
I'm such a mess and decisive, I'm fading away
I'm out of touch with society and living today
Never relied on my sanity, I through it away
To become the maniac that's got your attention today
She doesn’t really
speak. Her mouth stays wide open and the
voices of a hundred billion lost souls come pouring out. But that’s not really true either. It all comes from inside his head.
He can’t take it anymore.
He throws the red
ball at her face. “LEAVE ME ALONE!” he
shouts, eyes closed.
Can you keep a secret?
Well I'm afraid world because they want me to die, can you believe it?
But I'm still alive... and been floating since '95
With my chin held high but I'm so dead inside
Let the problems just roll off my back into a pile
Because it's just a bunch of shit that I can't deal with right now
And I'm tired of always guessing and messing it up again
And the next day it's even deeper and I'm steady sinking in
When he opens his
eyes, the little girl is gone. So is the
entire world. He is in a green
pasture. Standing in the middle of some
railroad tracks.
Rail Road tracks?
He has a one track
mind. It is only, normally concerned
with one thing: Inflicting pain on those
who would hurt him or the innocent.
This track has two
trains. Coming toward him from both
sides.
On his right, in big
blue letters the train says JR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION INC.
On his left: TANTRUM’S TOTAL
ANNIHILATION CO. In red.
I took a look at myself and came to grips with
what I found
It was a vision of a child, disturbed and broke down
No soul, no heart because I gave it away
No time for feeling sorry, I'll grieve another day
And all those tears are stored in storm clouds
That hover above me and cover the ugly
Continued to haunt me when I was feeling low
That's the same reason I hold on and never let go
The trains moved
toward him, picking up momentum.
Crashing together. Him sandwiched
in the middle. Mushroom cloud. Huge explosion. Shrapnel everywhere. The whole world on fire.
He still stands in
the same spot. Unmoving,
indifferent. They didn’t even phase him.
He wakes up,
smiling. He is on deck of the airship.
He knows he can have both. He WILL be
champion. He WILL have his revenge.
I'm so
Hidden and you're never gonna see
I'm cold
Forgiven all because of my beliefs
I'm no
Body that you ever wanna be
