History of The Renegade (Part 1)
“With just a few days remaining before I walk in to Sin City with a title shot and walk out with a title belt, I decided to let you in on my past. I have been through a ton of shit in my life. I have never had a problem arisen before that I could not handle. The following is the history of Derek Wallace.”
In Glasgow, Scotland, we see a younger Derek Wallace, about ten years old. Playing futbol at a public park. Just then two older kids, I would have to guess between thirteen and fifteen, walk up to me and kick my soccer ball away.
-Young Derek-
What was that for?
-Kid #1-
That’s for playing futbol on our field.
-Young Derek-
You can’t own a public park, it’s called public for a reason.
-Kid #2-
We don’t give a damned if it’s the Prime Minister’s, this is a part of our turf, so if you want to play soccer here then you have to pay a little fee.
-Young Derek-
I don’t have any money.
-Kid #1-
Well then I guess you will have to pay another way. I’d say about five or six teeth should pay the bill.
-Young Derek-
Oh come on, I don’t want any trouble.
-Kid #2-
You shouldn’t have chosen to play on our turf.
The first kid then clubs me in the back and both of them proceed to beat me down. Just then out of desperation I kicked my left foot and it connected with the first kids nuts. He falls down in agony as his friend stops to ask him if he is okay. I then stand up and shove the second kid into his friend. I begin to beat down both friends as they both cover up.
-Both-
Stop, please! We don’t want to fight you anymore.
I just keep throwing punch after punch after punch without hesitation or any sign of slowing down. Eventually both kids faces are covered in blood. I suddenly feel a tug on my shoulder, I turn around thinking it’s another goon trying to beat me up. But when I turn around I don’t see another guy ready to fight. Rather I see a worried and somewhat frightened face of this girl, who is around my age.
-Girl-
Please stop beating those two up, they’re surrendering. You have to calm down.
I stand up and back away from the two guys and run away from the scene. Later I’m sitting by a pond skipping stones trying to think of what I just had done. Just then I notice someone walking up to me. I turn around and see that same girl from before.
-Young Derek-
What do you want?
-Girl-
I want to talk. By the way the names Rachel Boyd.
-Young Derek-
I’m Derek Wallace. Why do you want to talk to me?
-Young Rachel-
I want to know why you attacked those two boys. What did they do to you?
-Young Derek-
They attacked me first, I just wanted to play futbol and they wouldn’t let me.
-Young Rachel-
Oh I understand, don’t you have any friends?
-Young Derek-
Unfortunately no I don’t. No one likes me, I’m sort of a loner.
-Young Rachel-
I’ll be your friend.
-Young Derek-
Really?
-Young Rachel-
Yeah.
-Young Derek-
Thank you.
I shake her hand and we embrace for a few seconds before walking off as friends.
“So as you saw, that is how me and Rachel met. After that day, we were the best of friends. You all maybe wondering when we became more than just friends. Let’s just say that’s a story for another day.”
