The Dream

The smoke whirled around the inside of God’s Temple…thick purple clouds of insanity. Corey looks around, and realizes that he is floating inches above the cold stone floor of the Temple. The thick purple gas of Chuck Matthew’s insanity gas lies like a blanket of purple insanity inside the entire Temple. Corey looks around, trying to figure out why he hasn’t gone insane yet.

Suddenly, Corey sees a figure collapsed on the floor. The figure is lying on his back, spread eagled on the floor. Corey feels himself being drawn towards the figure…as if he were destined to witness the figure’s demise. Corey floats over and looks down upon the figure…

Brenton Cyrus is laying on the floor…his eyes rolled up into the back of his head…his tongue lolling out of his mouth. Corey reaches out to try and awaken his God…to try and awaken the God that had shown him the light of Salvation…

Brenton Cyrus suddenly calls out…his voice wracked with pain…but laced with tremendous power…

Brenton Cyrus
…The Lord shall rise and lead Salvation when the God falls into the darkness…

Brenton suddenly begins to breath heavily, his face contorted in pain. Corey tries to grab Brenton by the shoulder to shake him…to try and bring him back into the light…but his hand passes right through Brenton’s shoulder…as if Corey did not exist at all. As Corey’s hand passes through Brenton’s shoulder Brenton lets out another scream of pain.

Brenton Cyrus
…The Lord shall lead until the Savior is revealed…

Corey tries to call out, to scream at Brenton to wake up…but Corey suddenly feels a violent pulling motion. He feels a force grip him by the shirt collar and violently pull him from the moment. Corey tries to fight the force…tries to reach out and save Brenton Cyrus from the purple insanity gas…but the force pulling him is too strong. Corey is pulled out of the Temple and up into the night sky. The blood red moon shines down on the Temple below. Suddenly a voice can be heard echoing all around the sky…

The Savior’s coming is upon us
Prepare his followers
This is the task of the Lord

The Story

(The black night sky is punctured by red stars that shine overhead like rubies. The moon its self is even tinged blood red. Corey Casey is seen standing a top the Temple of God, looking out over The City of Salvation. Corey is wearing black robes lined along the edges with silver. His eyes seem to take in not just the City…but the entire world…as if he were looking out into the world for an answer.

The dream…he had been thinking about the dream non stop for the last two days. Corey pulls his hood down, allowing his dreadlocks to fall down around his shoulders. He stares up at the blood red stars and the red moon hanging above the City. The City hadn’t seen the sky turn red since…

Suddenly Corey is filled with a sense of purpose. His gaze is drawn toward the library, which is being rebuilt after the attack. Something calls him…is pulling him towards the library. Corey turns and quickly walks to the wooden door leading down into the Temple. Corey takes the stairs two at a time, making sure to trip or fall. He arrives at the bottom of the stairs and suddenly stops short.

Corey turns and stares into the looming darkness of the inside of the Temple of God. Corey’s eyes quickly dart to the spot on the floor where, in his dream, Brenton Cyrus is lying in an unconscious heap. For a brief second Corey sees the ghostly outline of Brenton lying on his back, with his tongue hanging out of his mouth and his eyes completely rolled up into the back of his head.

Corey shivers in fear…it scares him how vividly he remembers that dream. It was almost like he were truly there…Corey shakes his head, trying to clear the haze from his brain. He pulls his robes tighter around him and turns and walks out of the Temple of God.

Corey quickly walks down the steps of the Temple of God, not even noticing the man in the blood red robe waiting by the side of the steps. Corey is about to walk by him when suddenly, he catches sight of the man)

Corey Casey
Walk with me Steven

(Steven quickly catches up with his Lord’s fast pace, falling into step at Corey’s right side)

Steven Angel
My Lord…something has been bothering me…

(Corey doesn’t even turn to look at Steven. The pulling feeling is growing stronger the closer he gets to the Library of Salvation. The calling was growing stronger with every step…every passing second…)

Corey Casey
Speak quickly Steven

(Steven attempts to catch his breath as he tries to breathe deeply and stay in step with his Lord)

Steven Angel
My Lord…has Brenton…

(Corey suddenly stops short, ignoring the gut wrenching pain that rips through his entire body. The pulling feeling grips his entire body, violently pulling him towards the Library. But Corey sums up all his strength, forcing himself to ignore the calling and finally meet the eyes of Steven Angel)

Corey Casey
You will call him by his title Steven…you will call him your God…

(Corey’s eyes burn with a fanatical fire, causing Corey’s eyes to almost shine with a white light of their own. Steven immediately bows his head and places his right fist over his heart)

Steven Angel
Yes my Lord…as I was about to ask…has God truly returned to lead Salvation?

(Corey doesn’t even stop to think about his answer)

Corey Casey
God has returned to continue to lead Salvation. I have said, time and again, that I am only a place holder…a leader of Salvation until the return of the Savior…until the return of God

(Corey is about to turn and relieve the pain by finally heeding the calling feeling that seems to have a grip on his very soul when suddenly, Steven blurts out)

Steven Angel
But Lord, can we trust him?

(Corey whirls around and grabs Steven by his robes, lifting him up into the air. The fanatical fire in Corey’s eyes burns brighter than the stars above. When Corey speaks, his voice is no higher than a whisper…but Steven can hear underlying threatening tone in his Lord’s voice)

Corey Casey
Never…ever…question God or his plans. There is a reason why only I am allowed to gaze upon the face of God…

(Corey lets go of Steven’s robes, causing Steven to fall roughly to the ground. Corey doesn’t even wait for Steven to get up; he turns and begins to follow the calling as it pulls him to the Library of Salvation. Corey quickly walks quickly across the courtyard and, as he approaches the front steps of the Library of Salvation, Corey hears a voice being carried by the wind)

Now is the time
For the Gospel of the Lord
To be written down
And shown to the world

(Corey slowly climbs the steps of the Library of Salvation and pushes open the heavy wooden doors. Corey frowns as he remembers that the Library has not been restored to its former glory. The bookshelves have been rebuilt but there is still a giant hole in the ceiling that is only being covered by a large sheet of plastic. The bookshelves are bare; the books that once stood regally on the bookshelves are seemingly thrown with little care into numerous piles all around the entrance hall.

Corey is still looking at all the books lying around the entrance hall when a flash of movement catches his eye. Corey turns his full attention to a nearby hallway, catching a glimpse of a figure wearing a black trench coat…and a gas mask…

Corey immediately follows the figure in the trench coat and gas mask down a set of stairs. The figure continues to walk just far enough in front of Corey to remain just out of sight. Corey is only able to ever see the trailing of the trench coat or the face of the gas mask looking back…making sure that Corey is following him.

Corey follows the figure down several flights of stairs, not even realizing how far underground he was or even, after a time, if he was even in the Library of Salvation any more. Suddenly, Corey turns a corner and sees a large doorway with lit candles on either side of the doorway and, standing in the middle of the doorway, is an unnatural site.

The figure that Corey had been following into the bowels of the Library of Salvation…was nothing more than an empty trench coat and a floating gas mask. The trench coat and gas mask simply float there in front of Corey. Corey looks at the empty coat and mask floating before him for what seems like an eternity before he dares to take a step towards the floating mask. As soon as Corey takes a step towards the floating mask and coat…they suddenly collapse into a heap on the floor.

Corey quickly walks over to the trench coat and gas mask on the floor. He leans down and gingerly picks up the gas mask, holding it in his hands and looking into the large dark eyes of the gas mask. Corey then takes the mask and walks through the doorway that the figure had shown him.

As soon as Corey walks through the doorway, he is overcome by a feeling of déjà vu. The room in which Corey is standing is circular, with tall bookshelves curling around the entire circle. Overhead, a glass dome allows Corey a view of the cold stars shining down and the full moon sits directly overhead. The floor is carpeted with a velvet carpet that is blacker than the night. Corey takes a deep breath and smells the faint scent of old leather books, the smell of history its self…Corey knew this room…he had been here before.

Corey smiles as the desk light clicks its self on, casting a pool of light on the familiar and powerful object on top of the oaken desk. A large book lies open on the desk top…and Corey can feel the power emanating from the exposed pages. Corey slowly walks to the desk, setting the gas mask up on the corner of the desk. Corey looks at the high backed leather chair, which immediately pulls its self out. Corey stands in front of the chair and the chair gently slides behind Corey’s knees, allowing him to sit down.

The smirk on Corey’s face widens as he realizes the page that the book has been left open on…)

(Lighting flashes over head and the blood rain begins to fall in heavier sheets. The followers of Salvation, their heads still tilted skyward in the hopes of seeing their Prophet preach the word of God, do not seem to care that blood rain is falling in sheets and covering their faces until it looks as if all of them are wearing red masks. The Prophet stands on the guard rail of the observation deck of the Prudential Building, smiling sadistically at each and every follower gathered on the grounds below)

Corey Casey
Praise be to Salvation!

(As Corey finishes reading his last entry into the most sacred text to Salvation, the feathery black quill suddenly jumps into his hand and the familiar well of ink materializes in the upper right hand of the desk…just in front of the familiar gas mask.

Suddenly, Corey hears Brenton’s voice echoing around the room. Corey’s eyes are drawn to the gas mask…as if the mask its self is the source of Brenton’s voice)

Brenton Cyrus
It is time for the prophecy to be known…

(Corey dips the quill in the ink and begins to write furiously)

God appears to the Lord

A letter from God to the Lord

Amen

And on the eve of his return to the City of Salvation, God accompanied the Lord to the Liberation Area. God wished to share the beginning of the Circle Prophecy with the Lord and inform him of things that were yet to come.

God sat down and told the Lord that, when he had ventured into the depths of the Temple of God, that he had been blessed with a vision of things that were to happen had God never graced NLWF and had, instead, gone on to make movies.

God went to the home of the Lord in South Boston and found that the Lord was living in squalor. He was no Lord, but instead, a broken shadow of a man…a shattered soul that was never enlightened through the grace of God himself.

God trained the Lord, turned him from a broken down alcoholic living in the slums of South Boston and turned him into something more…God turned the “Celtic Hand Grenade” into the Lord of the City of Salvation.

God then brought the Lord to the City of RA in the hopes of challenging Apollos for the World’s Title and to gain a measure of revenge upon Apollos for all that had befallen him. But the snake Apollos could not be trusted and, instead, entrapped God inside a tomb and challenged the Lord to a Live or Die match with the life of God hanging in the balance.

A letter from God to the Lord

Amen

The Match

Hey Hawk…bet you weren’t expecting this shit! I decided to take a page out of the old school Salvation playbook and introduce you to a little something that has fucked me over many times before…

-This is called a Sunday Night Screwjob-

I got a METAPHOR for you Hawk…I am going to beat you like a red headed step child and then whip you like I fucking own you. Battle Lines is going to be the fucking longest night of your entire life. A Street Fight match against the Lord of Salvation with the Undisputed Championship and the life of Salvation on the line…

-There is no way in Hell I am going to fail-

Hawk…you dare to question the immortality of God?! How dare you say such a thing you disrespectful little bitch. Brenton Cyrus is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end…Brenton Cyrus commands the Heavens and Hell. So for you to even begin to question the immortality of God is yet another reason why I am going to cause your blood to flow like a never ending river.

-This is the real truth about Salvation-

Brenton Cyrus is God
Steven Angel is the Emperor of Violence
And Corey Casey is the Lord of the City of Salvation…and the next Undisputed Champion.

So Cyrus wrote it…So it shall come to pass…Quoth the Lord…

--Salvation--
I am going to ask you the most important question of your life.
Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends on your answer,
The question is: Are You Saved?
It is not a question of how good you are
Nor is it a question of whether you are a church member or not
It is a question of whether you have seen the light
Whether the God has bestowed upon you
The gift of the light of Salvation
It is through The Prophet that this message is delivered,
Through The Prophet that the God’s message is carried out
And it is through The Prophet that The God enacts his will upon The Earth
So if you chose not to worship Brenton Cyrus as your Lord and Savior
Then your life is forfeit in the eyes of Salvation
