¤ TRADITIONS NEVER DIE

Trial By Combat happened to be one of the biggest events within the Land of No Limits and it’d be taking place in just a few days from Mexico City, Mexico. Some of the biggest and most anticipated matches were going to be seen on that card. One of the matches that were going to take place at the event just happened to be billed as “Double Debut” match which features newly signed NLWF Stars: Aaron Matthews and Rye Payne up against each other in the middle of the ring for the first time. It was their chance to show NLWF what they were made of and show that they weren’t a waste of a signee.

One thing about Matthews was he was a globally known Superstar at least for those that watched mainstream wrestling. He was a man that once worked for World Wrestling Entertainment and in his five years with that company. He was someone that climbed the ranks faster than anyone and had done so much and achieved so much that it would go down in history books. He was one of the greatest to ever live inside that ring and the crazy thing is he had only been doing this five years and he was only twenty four years old in general.

However from where Matthews was and where he is now are two different places. Things change and the rules change. It was going to be a challenge for him to get used to and something that would take time to becoming familiar with. Thing was with the American Tradition was he enjoyed a good challenge and loved proving people wrong. With his background and what not there are likely a lot of people already rooting against him and that is going to end up biting them in the rear end soon enough because one way or another Matthews is going to prove them wrong.

Not a whole lot is known about Rye Payne and that could either be a good thing or it could be a bad thing. Not too many people are sure where he is from or what he is all about. Not a single thing was known aside from the fact he had turned up in NLWF and he was signed to a deal. It was time to see if he could make himself known and that’s exactly what was going to be needed if he wanted to stick around in the Land of No Limits. After all this was a company that wasn’t for the week. It was a company that was all about the strong surviving and that’s why Rye along with Matthews had to step it up in their first match.

So many questions came into the mind of people when it came to this match and these two men. Questions like who would leave with the victory? Was Matthews going to live up to the hype? Would Payne give people a reason to give a damn about him? Which one would be better than the other in quite possibly the biggest night of their careers? All of those questions and more would remained unanswered at least until the two of them found themselves in the ring with each other on Tuesday Night. Either way Trial By Combat was going to be the night that either makes them or breaks them.

( ¤ ) LIFE CHANGING NEWS

All around the room there was nothing but bright white walls. Of course there was a window letting in a lot of light thanks to this bright sunny hot day in the Windy City. Aaron Matthews alongside JD Phoenix sat there within the doctor’s office awaiting some test results. Earlier this morning Aaron had brought JD in for some blood to be drawn. Good thing was it wasn’t a situation involving her being sick and what not. Instead it was a completely different situation that the two of them were hoping that the test results happened to be positive.

About that time the door to the room came open rather slowly, as a few seconds later a doctor came into the room. He had his little white jacket on and a pair of those old men like glasses. Speaking of the glasses he happened to bring them down over his eyes as he flipped open this vanilla folder to read the results that were most likely inside that folder. Even though it was just a few seconds in which he was reading the results. To them it felt like a lifetime. About that time the Doctor looked up at them with quite the smile on his face and released the news the two of them had wanted to hear.

“Well I have some good news, you’re are without a doubt expecting.”

“Hell yeah! Now I can start thinking of baby names. Shit, something like North West?”

“I’ve just been told I’m a pregnant woman. I cannot legally beat that ass and blame it on hormones. I’d push that baby name as far out of your little mind as far as possible and as soon as possible before I make word on said actions.”

( ¤ ) DOCTOR THOMAS EDWARD

“Haha, well sounds like the two of you are quite excited about the news. I’ll leave you to have a moment among yourselfs. JD, my nurse will come in and discuss all the nessercies needed during your pregnancy and set up the next appointment. Until then I’d just like to say congratulations.”

“Word doc, thanks a lot.”

With that being said the doctor closed his folder as he stepped forward shaking both hands of the parents to be. Before he turned around and excused himself from the room leaving Aaron and JD to themselves for the time being. Aaron proceeded to turn towards JD with this smug look on his face.

“And to think you get these moments where you like to talk shit and tease me talking bout my junk aint shit. What now baby? What now? This junk is the shit.”

“Slow your role there minute man. It’s good when it’s needed and it isn’t like it’d take a whole lot for me to get knocked up by someone else. You just happened to be in the right place at the right time.”

“Oh get your panties out of a bunch, you know I’m only fucking with you. Acting all bitch made and shit. Aint nobody got time for that!”

“Well duh, I aint about that life anyway. But on the real JD, you sure you’re cool with this idea? I mean us being parents? Kind of a trippy thought if ya think about it. Had ya told us this would happen a few years back. We’d laugh at people like they were some retarded ass motherfuckers.”

“Fosho bro, but I’m fine with the idea. I don’t want to be all sappy and emotional and all that other bullshit. But I think quite possibly I’m falling in love with you. Ever since we walked back in each other’s lives. I’m been happier than a meth head with meth. As long as this works out then and being pregnant is one of the things that comes with it. I’ll deal with the mood swings. I’ll deal with the throwing up and bullshit in the morning. I’ll deal with getting fat. I just don’t want this to come to an end.”

“Have I ever told you... you’ve got such a way with words. It brings a tear to my eye and almost shatters my heart.”

Aaron just looked at her with this smug little look on his face. He was being quite the sarcastic little prick and had to tease her, only because JD was much like him. They didn’t express their emotions very often. Something had happened to them in their lives that made that ability hard for him but they understood each other which was the most important deal to their relationship.

“But on a serious note JD. I get what you mean and I get where you’re coming from. I’m happy with the situation we are in. I really thought I’d just give up after the Juliet shit, but I’m glad I didn’t. I’m not sure how this thing is going to work out. I’m not even sure I’m fit to be a dad, but what I do know is I’ll do the best I can and do whatever it takes to make this work. At the point you don’t want it anymore is when I’ll walk away. Not before then and not after then.”

“Good to know, but it’d be kind of hard for you to go anywhere at this point. You done knocked me up. I’ll have you by the balls for the next eighteen years if worse comes to worse.”

“Well, I can tell you right now. You don’t have anything to worry about. If worse came to worse and if we didn’t work out. I’d be there for our child. Hell, I’d even be there for you regardless of how it turned out. However I’d rather not think about what ifs at this moment. We need that nurse to come here and hurry up. We’ve got an entire day of shopping to handle.”

“Shopping? Well, I could always use a couple new tattoos and I’d never say no to a couple hundred pair of brand new converse. You know my style all too well boo.”

Both of them chuckled just a slight bit as it was quite clear that the two of them had different ideas on what shopping was going to include on this very day. It was their goofy sense of humor that made them bond in more ways than one. It just worked for them, but it was about that moment the door came open once again as the Nurse entered this time to begin wrapping things up for their appointment, at least this time around anyway.

Trial By Combat...

It’ll mark the debut of yours truly; Aaron Matthews - The American Tradition. It’ll also mark the first time I have been within a wrestling company that wasn’t World Wrestling Entertainment. Now trust me I know how much things are going to be different. I know exactly what No Limits is all about. I know that I’ve got my work cut out for me... which to be quite honest is exactly why I jump shipped so to speak. I needed a challenge and I needed something different.

When I worked over there in the ‘E. I did everything there was to do in such a short amount of time. It was one of those things that just came easy to me and before long it wasn’t a challenge anymore. I felt like I was winning matches with ease. I felt like there was no competition. I felt like there was nothing left to accomplish and eventually I took an extended leave from the company. I was gunning to make some changes and dig down deep to make things different and more challenging.

Over the last few months I’ve taken a few matches on this whole “One More Match” kind of tour. I’ve defeated the likes of Hulk Hogan, Muhammed Hassan, and Kazarian. None of those matches felt challenging as I won with ease. That’s when my eyes were opened up and that’s when I realized it was time for me to take my ass somewhere else. It was time to go and find a challenge thus why I have eventually landed myself in the Land of No Limits based on the challenge it brings.

You look around and you see names like Brenton Cyrus, Psycho, Robbie Hart, Hostyle Jones, and even Damien Kingston. You know right off the bat those men are talented. You know right off the bat those men are going to bring a challenge and you know right off the bat that’s not a match you’re going to dominate with ease. That’s what I want and that’s what I need, but I know I’ve got a long way before I find myself competing in the ring with the likes of those men. I’ve got to start at the bottom of the barrel - which to be honest doesn’t bother me because that’s how it should be.

That’s what leads me to Mexico City, Mexico for Trial By Combat considering the fact it has been announced that I’ll be competing in what has been labeled a “Double Debut” match. It’ll be the debut of myself and it’ll be the debut of my opponent. A man known as Rye Payne and a man that I know nothing about, but at the same time for some odd strange reason I don’t feel the need to know a lot. Something tells me that I don’t need to be worried about him. Something tells me that this is going to be a walk in the park - and that’s not a good feeling to have when I’m honestly looking for a challenge.

From the little bitch of research I did bother to do. I have come to terms and have come to the understanding that you are a bitter little man. You seem to have a problem with pro wrestling. You seem to have a problem with people that have stabbed you in the back when it comes to this business. You seem to be a little whiney and a little bitchy over the matter. Well, I hate being that guy that has to bring bad news and I hate being that guy that has to come off as a total asshole but in this case it seems that it is calling to be done and since no one else is doing it. I might as well be the one to step up and say what no one else has the balls to say to you - quite frankly I don’t care how mad you get when I do say it.

In this business Rye, you aren’t meant to make friends. You aren’t meant to have people you trust. You aren’t meant to have people to lean on. This business is a very lonely business, especially when you’re at the top or on your way to the top. I mean think about it for a second? Surely, you aren’t that stupid. When someone is at the top and when someone is on their way to the top. Everyone else around them wants that same spot and because they want that same spot they will do anything and everything to get there even if that means throwing some of their best and dearest friends under the bus to get there. That’s how the business works and it’s worked like that for a long time

Is it right?

Of course not, but you should have learned by now. Just because something isn’t right doesn’t mean it’s going to stop. You should have also realized that in this kind of business when it’s all about competition and it’s all about being the best that you shouldn’t have friends. Now, I’m not saying you need to be the anti-social emo faggot that hides out in a dark boiler room or anything, but you need to keep it in the back of your mind that people are going to do whatever it takes to get to the top. I realized that when I first got into this business. I met some of my best friends from this business. I met my girlfriend from this business, but truth be told if we all worked for the same company I wouldn’t trust a single one of them. That’s saying something when I can say that about my best friends and the mother of my child - but that’s the facts of life when it comes to the business.

Instead of being all butt-hurt about what people have done to you - to advance their careers mind you. How about you do what the old people say. Build a bridge and get over it? Or in my world as I would say... Keep Calm & Move The Fuck On. That’s just how things work. If you spend all this time worrying about people and if they are going to do this and if they are going to do that. If you spend all your time wondering and worrying about who’s going to be the next one to stab you in the back or turn on you then you my friend are never going to progress in this business or even in this world for that matter. Honestly, out of everything else right now though. You need to be focused on this debut match for yourself and focused on the man that’s going to be standing in the ring with you. At this moment you’re looking at him.

I’m not your friend and I’m not someone that’s going to stab you in the back. However I am someone that’s going to be willing to superkick your teeth down your throat in order to make one hell of a statement in my first match with the company. Because that’s honestly the only thing that’s running through my mind. Without the sake of sounding like a douche. I could care less about your background - much like you could care less about mine. I could care less about who is your friend who isn’t your friend who has done this to you or who has done that to you. All I care about is what you intend on bringing to the ring and right now I’m not expecting much which is sad seeing as you’re someone that’s all about winning championships and cracking people’s heads open. Least that’s what you claimed you were here to do in the Land of No Limits right?

Well, we’re going to see exactly what you are made of Rye. You see in a sense I have paid my dues and on the grandest stage of them all I can prove that I can get the job done. Now, I just have to prove it on a different setting and I’ve got to prove that signing me wasn’t a bad idea or that it wasn’t going to bite them in the ass. You on the other hand have just a little bit more to prove considering you aren’t known all around the globe and considering you haven’t done or see the places that I have seen or the things I have done. Not saying that it matters more and I’m not saying that it means that by all means I’m better than you or that based on that I am going to leave with a victory. But what I am saying is people are actually looking forward to seeing me in the ring, and at this stage in the game... you? Not so much.

But since I’m a nice guy, since I’m looking for a challenge, and considering that I want to make this debut match mean something. Have it be the best damn match on the card and have it be the match that steals the show. That’s why I am officially laying down a challenge to you Rye, and a challenge that shouldn’t be too hard for you to rise to. My challenge is simply this, I want you to actually show up on Tuesday Night. Don’t be a little bitch and punk out. I want you to let all the bullshit go. I don’t want to hear you bitching and whining about shit that doesn’t make a damn bit of sense or has no relevance to what’s going on at the current moment. I want you to step through those ropes and give it everything you got.

That’s all you have to do, and I don’t think it’s asking too much out of you. I don’t think it’s a challenge that’s too hard. I don’t think it’s a challenge that you can’t rise to or even overcome in the long run. But rather you do that is completely and utterly up to you. All I know is what I’m bringing to the table and all I know is what I intend on doing. That’s just all there is to it. With that being said though, I do want you to understand something and it is the same thing that everyone else has had to understand for the last five years. No matter what you say about me. No matter what you do to me. No matter how much you might wish my existence doesn’t exist. Remember that...
