I walked into the Verizon center, injuries suffered from the night before were kicking my ass. I adjusted the High Impact championship on my shoulder and slung my gym bag strap over the other shoulder. Walking through the hall ways I didn’t say a word. I heard them calling me, but I was looking for a fucking reason why I was defending my title again against Hostyle Jones?

He had his moment, last night his reel was cut short

This whole thing smelled like a repeat of the bullshit Cody Taylor saga

I walked right passed my lockeroom, I was in no rush to get changed for tonight’s main event. I was looking for Corey Casey. I wanted to know if he lost his fucking mind. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t walking into my own personal ‘Screw-Job’. I worked to hard to make this championship fucking matter, I shattered records! I’m going to make sure this streak doesn’t end with a screw job.

I didn’t bother knocking on his office door. I opened the door and rushed into the office. But it was empty. A stage hand came up from under the desk; he was setting up his mics.

‘Where’s Corey?’

He turned around and was startled at first, but he quickly regained his composure

“Production meeting.”

I didn’t say another word; I just turned and headed in the direction of the meeting. I was going to talk to him, even if I have to drag him out of the meeting by force. Lucky for him, the meeting was just getting over by the time I made it to the boardroom they had set up. Corey was standing outside the door; he rushed towards me as soon as he spotted me. Rage started to take over me and I quickly found myself charging at Corey.

‘What the fuck is this bullshit Corey!’

He threw his arms out and kept trying to push me away from the production team.

“Not here damn it!!”

‘Why? Because the people who run the show are standing ten feet away. I don’t give a fuck about them. I want to know why the fuck …’

“DAMN IT ROBBIE! This isn’t the fucking place to talk about this! Meet me in the press room, I’ll be right behind you and we can talk about this there!”

‘I swear to god Corey, if you’re pulling something I’ll finish the job on your back and make sure you live the rest of your life in a fucking wheel chair.’

I backed off and headed straight for the press room. I was trying to regain my composer and keep it civil. I walked into the press room, and instantly looked around for Corey. At first I didn’t see him, but I caught him walking into the room from the opposite side door.

“Do you even know how close you came to fucking everything up!”

‘I don’t give a fuck about them. I’m only cornered about me!’

“Then pay attention! I’m about to change your life kid.”

‘Really? Because it seems like your doing me no favors! Because if you were, I wouldn’t even be competing tonight. Instead, I’m not only booked, but I’m defending my championship? Against Hostyle… again’

“You barley won last night, and we need you to drop the belt.”

‘Like fuck I am’

Corey shook his head and smiled, I personally didn’t find any of this funny.

“In three weeks, you fight for the World Championship”

His words caught me off guard.

“I’m talking about you dropping the High Impact title for the World Championship.”

Everything came into perspective, I wasn’t meant to leave here with the High Impact title. I was getting the push I wanted ever since BMac screwed me out of my first run as champion.

I just threw the truth at Hostyle Jones. He’s my tag-team partna, but tonight he’s just another hurdle! Hostyle you say you had a career before the Insurgency, yet no one remembers shit you’ve doe before you won the High Impact championship. A gift I fucking handed to you on a silver platter.

At least you gave it your best shot. Unlike Steel Angel who was way over his head when he signed a contract! Face it mang, you’re to soft. You’re not ready for the land of no limits. If I was you, I would go back to the insurgency and offer CC a fucking blow job for your old job back.
