Iceman Who? Yea Me #2
The lights were dimmed as Keith Cunningham and Melissa stepped out of their locker room. Keith went first and looked both left and right, ensuring the coast was fully clear before he turned back to his fiancée and nodded. She followed him out into the corridor and closed the door behind her, shutting it and dipping into her right pocket to pull out a padlock before she locked the door shut. Iceman began to walk to his left, however Melissa grasped his hand tightly, stopping him dead. He turned back to her.
“What is it?”
“I… I thought I heard something.”
“Well you’re with me, it’ll be safe… trust me.”
Iceman said, taking Melissa in his arm, however the expression on his face told a very different story; one of terror. The two broke the embrace and Melissa continued to cling onto Keith’s hand as they began to walk towards the general manager’s office. As the two of them walked past each door, Melissa stared at the name on them, looking intently in case one of them bore the name ‘Mexican Samurai’.
“Darling… he's in the East… just chill.”
He said to his fiancée who ignored him; her fear of the man who had caused her such terror over the previous couple of weeks blocking her power over her own emotions and senses. Iceman rolled his eyes, acting as if Jackson didn’t scare him one bit, however, inside he was just as petrified as Melissa, if not more so. The two reached the end of the corridor and Melissa stood still; rooted to the spot.
“J… Just go on a bit… you know, check he isn’t… like… there.”
She said stuttering, looking over her shoulder a bit before Keith let go of her hand and he took a few paces forward, checking left and right and ensuring that the path ahead was free from the man both were despairing about. He turned back to Melissa and took her hand.
“It’s clear, now, we need to get to Kash's office.”
“Why Kash? It’s not like he’s going to want to help us…”
Melissa asked her fiancée and The Iceman shrugged.
“He runs the West as far as I know… if anyone can stop Mexican Samurai from becoming another victum, it’s him I guess…”
His answer seemed to satisfy Melissa a bit and the two began to walk forward, however they shortly found themselves at the door of Kash’s temporary office; a wooden door with a large frosted glass middle. The lights on the other side were turned off, and it was clear to anyone who may walk past that the Mexican Samurai was most certainly not in his office. Nonetheless, in a desperate bid to end this nightmare, Melissa knocked.
“Hello… Mr. Kash sir… can I have a word?”
Melissa asked, however, as anyone could have predicted, she received no answer. Keith clasped her right arm and began to turn her away from the door.
“So he’s not in… we’ll go find him some other time babe…”
“But…But”
Keith raised an eyebrow and Melissa held her head as if sulking before taking his arm again. The two set off back towards their own private room when a voice broke the silence.
“I was just looking for you two…”
The voice said, and Melissa shrieked loudly as Keith cowered, standing behind Melissa whose eyes bulged. The camera moved around slowly to reveal that the reason for Melissa and Keith’s startled reactions was Kash. Iceman steps out from behind his woman and pretends to be comforting her before turning to the GM of the West.
“Oh right sir… what about? As it happens we were just on our way to see you.”
“That’s great… now Keith, I’d just like to inform you that at War Games you will be facing one of the East Top dogs, in Mexican Samurai.”
Iceman gave a weak smile, before realising he had to try and impress the boss for now, and switched to his cocky side.
“Yeah well… You see I was thinking about a vaction around that time… not that I need one or anything…”
Keith Cunningham moved his hands behind his back, and the camera showed his index and middle finger to be crossed; a sign often associated with asking for good luck in something.
“Better switch the dates, because at War Games you will fight Mexican Samurai.”
Kash said simply, and Keith smirked inside, knowing he was fighting a losing battle No matter how much Keith would like to advoid Mexican Samurai its no use.
“Now… what did you want to talk to me about?”
Kash asked, and Iceman, who was too busy sulking over his upcoming match with Mexican Samurai, ignored the big man. Kash took a step forward and got in Iceman’s face, who stepped back hurriedly.
“Woah… sorry, I was in my own little word and… yeah… what did you say again?”
He asked, and Kasclenched a fist before Melissa interjected.
“What he means sir is that we want to talk with you about the Past Jackson situation. You see, there’s just general mind games, hell, we don’t mind those… god knows we’ve played a few ourselves in our time, but Jackson....He drop the title...Are chapter togther is over right?”
She said, and Kash crossed his arms, nodding in interest.
“Go on…”
He said coldly.
“Well what I’m trying to say is, basically, we were wondering if maybe you could… ya know, sort it out. We’re sick of having to look over are backs just to make sure that sour loser isn't satking us…”
Kash laughed a bit, and seeing an opportunity to try and get on his good side, Iceman laughed alongside him. Kash stopped laughing abruptly, however Iceman continued, and upon noticing the acting CEO’s angered face, he also stopped.
“Now Keith, surely someone as rough and tough as yourself doesn’t need to go telling tales to the boss…”
keith smiled weakly for the second time.
“Well of course not… it was my girl here… ya know what women are like.”
He rolled his eyes and Melissa slapped his arm, causing him to hold it in pain. Kash uncrossed his arms and sighed.
“Well I’m afraid either you two have got to grow a pair of balls between you, after all it’s obvious Mr. Iceman over here is lacking in the testicular department, or you’ve got to just leave. It’s no crime to play mind games as you said already Melissa, and Jackson hasn’t actually attacked you as such, so quite frankly, he’s your problem…”
kASH smiled genuinely for the first time since their meeting that night and he turned away, heading towards his office. Behind him Iceman grimaced and stamped his foot childishly as Melissa shook her head. Kash turned back.
“Oh and by the way… good luck next week… I heard Big Daddy is bating for blood.”
He said, and laughed a little before continuing the walk to his office, reaching the door and disappearing inside. Iceman’s eyes flared.
“How fucking dare he! I am the single greatest acquisition this company ever made, and he’s meant to be in charge… well I never. I shall be putting a complaint in for this… never in all my years have I been treated so badly!”
He exclaimed and Melissa shook her head, walking off back to her locker room, forgetting all about Jackson for a split second. The two reached the corner where they had turned off on the way to the acting CEO’s office, and the camera was angled so we can’t see past the wall. As the two turn the corner, we here a large scream from Milana before she turns around, straight into Iceman who was behind her. He joins in her screaming before giving her a small push, sending her around the corner and into the grasp of whoever was around it before running off in the opposite direction. The scene fades.
“What is it?”
“I… I thought I heard something.”
