achieving destiny...
(Promo opens on Corey Casey standing on an overlook. He is gazing out over the vast expanse of empty land between himself and the black gates off in the distance. The sky over head is a deep black that fools the eyes into thinking they are closed. The wind that was earlier blowing through the wasteland has calmed and eerie silence has overtaken the land. Corey brushes his dread locks out of his face and starts to climb down the raised dirt hill. He slowly climbs down the dirt hill and small pebbles and loose dirt roll down the hill around him. He takes a deep breath and jumps the last few feet, the impact of his feet on the hard Earth knocks the breath from his body. He slowly stands upright and stares out into the wasteland. The black charred grass dots the vastly empty land and every now and then a black and bare tree is seen, like a skeletal hand reaching for the heavens but never quite reaching it. Corey begins walking to the far off darkened city that sits in the distance, as if it were calling him, beckoning him to its gates. A sense of calm and tranquility seems to wash over Corey every time he looks at the gates of the city in the distance. Corey is still walking and is about to pass another blackened and bare skeletal tree when a flash of silver catches his eye.
Corey stops and walks over to the tree, searching for the source of the silver glint. He sees a small hole in the tree and manages to pry a small silver tube from the tree. Corey removes the tube and, as soon as the tube clears the tree, the tree suddenly bursts into flames. Corey stumbles backwards and falls to the ground, the silver tube clutched tight in his right hand. He stares at the tree for a few minutes before turning his attention to the silver tube in his hand. He turns the tube over in his hand and he notices the tube has no markings of any kind on it. He unscrews the top of the top and a small piece of parchment falls into Corey’s hand. Corey sets the tube aside and unrolls the parchment. There is a message written in cursive on the paper with strangely thick red ink)
(Corey re-reads the rhyme a few times before he folds it up and places it in the inside pocket of his leather jacket. A black cloud slowly starts to seep out of the silver tube and Corey stands and starts to walk away from the black cloud.)
(Just as he says that the wind picks up again and the same mysterious voice whistles throughout the land)
(The wind suddenly dies and Corey is left alone again in the eerily silent land. He gazes at the black city walls, still so far away but yet…he was getting closer. Closer to what the voice claimed was his destiny, his true calling in life. He must reach those gates and discover what lay inside. Corey continues walking as the promo fades to black)

For those who strive for strength
For those who wish to be something more
And wish to challenge fate
Then continue on this path
For you the black gate waits…”

Jesus Christ…does everything in this place either smoke or burst into flame?

???
You have nothing to fear from this land…but much to gain
Corey
Just who the hell are you? Where the hell am I?
???
Where you are right now is not important. Where you will be is up to you
Corey
(shakes his head) I’m talking to the wind…this is great…
???
Don’t fear insanity, for it is only the term given to those who can not harness their thoughts, control their minds, and harness the violence that rages inside
Corey
Control is something I am rather good at
???
Your journey is almost over…the black walls call to you Corey Casey…
