'That Day' [Tuesday, September 22] Empty 'That Day' [Tuesday, September 22]

Post by Shadow Demon September 24th 2009, 10:11 pm

-September 22nd, 4:37 AM, Brenton’s Mansion [Rob and Rouge’s Room]-

Rob woke up, and slowly pulled the covers off of him. The need to get up early was a mix between the nervousness he felt about this latest championship match, and the need to train for it. He looked over at Rouge. Actually, Tara was her real name. Tara Brown. Well, Tara Langdon now. They had been married on the 18th of September. It hadn’t been a big wedding, just him and her and a minister. It had been perfect. Rouge had told him after last Revolution that since he was now travelling by his real name, she would too. Rob had felt honoured that she was doing this, and I had asked her if she was sure. She had said that she felt no need to hide behind Rouge all the time. She only wanted to be called Rouge in the ring, or in promos. Shadow looked over to Tara, and nudged her. She sleepily looked over at him.

Tara Langdon
Hi baby...

Rob Langdon
Hey sweet cheeks. I’m going to go for a bit of building jumping-remember how I used to do that?

Tara Langdon
I sure do. I remember how you used to do it when we first met-and I remember how I saved you from killing yourself!

Rob remembered that. But then again, he did have justified reasons. He thought he was going to die anyway. But, through the heroics of Ms. Tara Langdon herself, he had managed to stay alive. Though it did take him and her through a bucket load of gunfights and car chases, and near death instances, they had managed to save Rob’s life. Rob then slipped out of the bed, and opened up the wardrobe. He began getting dressed.

Tara Langdon
Do you think I could come too?

Rob looked up at her, and smiled.

Rob Langdon
If you think you can handle it...

Tara Langdon
I sure as hell can!

Tara and Rob then quickly got dressed, and slipped out of the window. They quickly ran off into the distance, darting through the sidewalk. Tara followed Rob’s lead as he climbed up onto a skyscraper-window washer’s lift, and used it to get up on top of the building. When they reached the top, Tara spoke to him.

Tara Langdon
Don’t forget, I’ve got to wrestle in Sacrifice today, so we’d better not take too long.

Rob turned to Tara. He would make sure she wouldn’t miss her match. After all, he loved to see her wrestle.

Rob Langdon
No problem, I won’t stretch this out.

Tara Langdon
Great, let’s go!

So they began to building jump, just like they used to. They had a great time, jumping from one skyscraper to the next. Eventually, they ended it, and began to head back to Cyrus’s mansion. They caught a taxi on the way back, after they’d had a bite to eat. On the taxi ride, Shadow pulled out his pocket knife.

Tara Langdon
Watch where you’re waving that thing!

Rob Langdon
Calm down babe...

Rob then began sharpening the knife with a piece of wood. He loved this knife. He’d had it as long as he could remember, and it had got him out of a ton of sticky situations. It was reassuring always having it around. If ever he got attacked by anyone, late at night, he’d always have it in his pocket, ready to go. The taxi driver did a left turn, and stopped in front of Cyrus’s house. He turned around.

Taxi Driver
That’ll be ten bucks from y’all.

Rob and Tara looked at each other, before Rob pulled out a ten dollar note, and handed it to him, before stepping out and helping Tara up.

Rob Langdon
Thanks for the lift...y’all.

The taxi driver drove off, and Rob turned to the mansion, and looked over to where Tara was staring at something on the ground. Rob walked up to her.

Rob Langdon
What’re you looking at?

Suddenly, Rob saw what she was looking at. A mobile phone was smashed to bits on the ground in front of them. Tara picked up the main body of the phone, which was still intact, and looked at it.

Tara Langdon
It looks like Alison’s...

Rob Langdon
Oh well, don’t worry about it. Maybe she dropped it or something. Come on, are you gonna get ready? Brenton and Alison have already gone!

Tara Langdon
Alright, alright.

Tara slipped back through the window into their room, and began to quickly packed her things.

Rob Langdon
I’ll wait in the car.

Rob got into the driver’s seat of the car, and began to drift into deep thought. He had to beat KID at Seven Sins. He had to! He needed to show that he was better than him. KID knew he was on a roll. KID knew he was one of the best in the company. And if he beat Shadow Demon, than he could be a superstar! He would have achieved a very high level. Shadow Demon was ranked as the second-best in the NLWF, and KID was ranked the fourth-best. It was a big leap from fourth to second. Rob knew he would need to show that he was business. He had beaten KID before, but KID was again right. It was a different KID this time-more dangerous than ever before. This version of KID was looking like the August-KID, but even better. Rob was going to have to pull something out of the hat. But he had done it before. Shadow Demon always has something under his sleeve.

Tara opened the door, throwing the training bag into the back, and combing her hair.

Tara Langdon
You ready?

Rob smiled, and turned on the ignition.

Rob Langdon
Yeah, I’m ready.

The drive to Sacramento was fairly uneventful. They swapped turns driving regularly. They reached the arena, and Rob said goodbye to Tara as she walked backstage to prepare for her match. Rob saw KID being flocked by a large group of female fans. Rob smiled and shook his head. KID had one of the biggest female followings he had ever seen. Brenton and Mex were with him. He thought about joining them, but then decided to play it cool, and sit by himself in the back row. He was pretty drained from the drive anyway. He had slept when he hadn’t been driving. Rob walked over and bought his ticket, asking for a back row seat. He then quickly grabbed a can of coke, and sat down to watch the show. It was a great show from start to finish. Sacrifice Wrestling was clearly over with everyone. During Brooklyn’s match, Shadow heard KID call out and egg Brooklyn on.

This suddenly made him think about the match again. For some reason, whenever he was around KID, he seemed to always think about the match-and how he needed to win it. It was really do or die for him here. He needed to show that Shadow Demon really deserved his #2 ranking. Eventually, the show ended, and Rob decided he would go and talk to Tara about the match. She always made him feel better when he had a big match coming up. As he walked backstage, he saw Cyrus looking around at the other end. I think I might just have a chat to Cyrus first, even though I’m not really in the mood to hang out he thought, and walked behind him.

Rob Langdon
Brenton.

Brenton Cyrus
Rob where have you been man.

Rob Langdon
It’s been a long day. I’ve been really focusing in on beating KID at Seven Sins. I can’t let an opportunity like this slip away. I’ll see you back at the mansion, I’m really not In the mood to hang out.

Brenton looked worn out, just like I was.

Brenton Cyrus
Hey, before you go. What can you tell me about dreams.

Rob knew the answer. He had been interested in dreams as a kid, and even though what he thought probably wasn’t what scientists around the world thought, he still believed it.

Rob Langdon
Dreams can mean a good thing or a bad thing, they can either show us where we need to go, or remind us of our past. I’ll see you later champ.

Brenton Cyrus
Yeah, bye Rob.

I walked away, and at that moment, I knew I could do it. I knew I could beat KID at Seven Sins.

Shadow Demon
Your time at the top is up, KID. I’m going to turn your plane into a nosedive. I’ve finally seen the real truth. The truth is, KID, you can’t beat me. No matter how hard you’ll try, you’ll eventually see the fact. That’s not saying that you aren’t going to try, KID. I know you will. It’s just your style. Pull out all the stops. Do whatever it takes to win. But, you’re going to fall to me. Last time, your aerial moves didn’t bring me down, what makes you think that they’ll work this time? KID, the problem with you is that you always go into the match with the same high-risk strategy. You’re predictable as hell, Kiddo, and I’m going to make you pay at Seven Sins.
