Not a Rising Star. A Risen one.
Chuck Matthews makes his way to the ring, pointing and grinning at fans. He slides in, does his signature gestures, and hops down from the turnbuckle. He motions for a mic, and a crewman hands him one. Chuck paces the ring, looking at the fans, who aren't sure what to make of him quite yet. Chuck raises the mic to his lips.
"And here we are, coming off of the first every pay per view, Tournament to the Title!"
"Now, I could come out here and talk about Tails becoming the heavyweight champ. But that's not important. I could talk about how he suffered an injury, and had to relinquish both titles, effectively making the new champion Cyber Punk. But I really don't care. What does matter is the first match of the night."
"I mean, it was my debut. My debut! And I made history. You see, because not only did I win the first pay per view match in NLWF history, but I did it in record time. And that, my dear friends, deserves applause."
Chuck tucks the mic under his arm and begins clapping for himself.
"I suppose I should explain my actions Alright, well it's like this. They say first impressions are the most important. So if you really think about it, the first match of the first pay per view...that's like...think about what that says about the company! To have two losers like Crazerage and NC-17 making that kind of statement for NLWF? I couldn't let that happen. So I decided to make an impression of my own. I tossed NC-17 out and beat Crazerage in...oh what was that, ten seconds?"
"The point is, apparently NC-17 thinks I stole his spotlight. What, is he some kind of robot? NC-17? Apparently our mechanical man wants a match of his own against me. Maybe he wan't paying attention to my decimation of Crazerage, I don't know. But I will say this. I don't care what number you're gonna tack onto your name. I don't care that NC stands for No Competition. Hell, I don't care if you decide to bring your entire NC Family out with you, from NC-23 all the way to big bag NC-907. I'm going to beat you. Not only am I going to beat you, I'm going to try to beat my own record. I hope seven second slaughter sounds good to you, Mr. 17. See you in the ring."
Chuck grins widely, holds his hands up, and tosses the mic behind him as he leaves the ring.
