Eric Beck was always fasinated with the inner workings of the human mind, and so the decision to become a psychologist when he was older was an easy one. One patient, though, infected Dr. Beck with evil thoughts, which effectively tore the doctor apart, and left him in a shell of his former self. Eric began wandering cities as a violent, short-tempered individual, a stark contrast to his patient, quiet self he was before. In the depths of his mind, however, the kind doctor still exists, and presents himself in the form of Eric’s tendency to analyze his opponent’s, looking not only at their style of fighting, but at their mind state as well. Using his knowledge of the mind and how it works, Eric Beck is able to use his opponents’ psychological states to his advantage.
